When I try to connect Gurux with smart energy meter, initially it connect. But when i disconnect and try to connect again it won't connect.
In order to reconnect again either i need to restart the meter or gurux.
I'm using both gprs and optical for connection, issue found in both.
I can establish connection…
I can establish connection after waiting for 1 min.
When I check the data packets using wireshark, it is observed that when we try to reconnect immediately, the tcp connection packet is sent succefully [ SYN , SYN ACK, ACK] and after that it terminates the connection[ FIN ACK].
But if i wait for 1 mint and try to reconnect, there is no problem.
Why is so happening? Is this problem with client or server?
Thanks and Regards

Hi,
Please, don't add pictures from Wireshark. They are impossible to read and don't give any information.
Check that you are sending the release message when disconnecting.
Some meters expect you to wait for a while before connecting again.

Hi,
Thankyou for your response
I have checked release message when disconnecting.
From wireshark following obsevations are seen during disconnection;
* Client send FIN ACK to server
* server ACK to client
* server send FIN ACK to client
* client send ACK
After this, when i try to reconnect without waiting connection is not established.
Can i know that 1 min delay before reconnection is from client side or server side?
Thanks and Regards
Amal

Hi,
This is the server-side limitation. As I told you before some meters expect it, but most of the meters do not need it.
