Greetings.
I would like to request support to identify how I can Read an Itron ACE6000 or SL7000 meter using a different password than the one defined as Electricity Utility laboratory in the Itron Software, for example with any of the password associated with Electricity utility field, Electricity reader, End customer, or Engineer. I think this is related to the value of the Client Address, Logical Server and Physical Server in GXDLMSDirector. If someone knows what the corresponding values are, could help me?
Thanks.

Hi,

Hi,

You are right that authentication depends on the client's address. The server address is the same. You need to ask password from the meter owner because it might be changed and then it can be anything.

Meter documentation should describe the used client addresses.

Mikko

Thanks Mikko for your help.

Thanks Mikko for your help. Testing, identify that if I want to use the different keys defined in the Itron meters, I must change the value provided in the Client Address option according to the following list:
Type Value
Electricity Laboratory: 1
Electricity Utility Field: 2
None: 10

Hi,

Hi,

You need only change the Client address and password for the device settings and you can connect if the password is correct.

Our clients are usually using Electricity Laboratory and None. It might be easier if all client addresses are available in GXDLMSDirector by name. Those are added and the device template is updated so you can access them by name.

Let me know if you have any problems.

BR,
Mikko
