There are a lot of different optical probes available and all don't work well with all the meters.
The best way is if you can buy an optical probe from Landis+Gyr.
Can you please tell me (point in right direction) what exactly i will be able to do with my meter if i use an optical probe from Landis+Gyr and Gurux DLMS Director?
Will i need a Low Authentication level password?
It seems that this meter is using DLMS and you can use GXDLMSDirector.
Each meter is different. There is no standard set of functionality what the meter must implement.
You can usually read basic functionality without authentication. If you need to write anything you need the password. Because we don't have this meter the only way to solve this is if you have an optical probe and you will check what you can do with the meter.
That is true. They are really expensive if you think about what they do. I believe that they sold so small amounts and for that reason, they are so expensive at the moment. I hope that they will drop in the future.
To make it harder there are several different versions from zcxe110. :-)
Is your meter one or three-phase meter? Can you see the DLMS logo on the cover of the meter or is there a "PRIME" label?
Looks good. If you have the optical cable you "should" be able to read the meter.
There are country differences in the metrics, so I can't say for 100% sure.
If you select Landis+Gyr as the manufacturer you should be able to connect right away.
Change Interface from HDLC to HdlcWithModeE if you are using an optical probe.
#1. This is now updated. You can "Server Address size" to 4 in Frame tab.
#2. The meter owner (metering company) might change the password for something else and it's not necessarily the default. If it's changed you still can read the current values and load profile (historical data), but you can't change anything.

Hi,
Hi,
If you are using the optical port you need to use HdlcWithModeE and if you are using direct serial port your interface type is HDLC.
L+G meter what we have, are using 1 byte addressing. Why you have changed Server Address size to four?
