DLMSDirector

I am using DLMSDirector 8.0.0.12. If I try to create a new manufacturer, using the Manufacturer Settings dialogue box, I find some problems with the Authentication handling:

If I select HighSHA1 the Advanced button is enabled, and I can enter a secret in the dialogue box it brings up. However, this secret does not seem to be used or needed. Should the Advanced button be enabled for SHA1 authentication?

If I select HighGMAC the Advanced button is enabled. In the box this brings up I can set various items of cipher information. I don't understand why these are associated with the manufacturer, rather than the device, since the keys will be different for each user of the same model of meter. There seems to be something wrong with the selection of Hex or ASCII keys. Initially the Hex option is selected. If I try to select the ASCII option both options are selected, and cannot be deselected.

I do not understand the format in which I should enter the System title. Whether I enter it in the hex format used for the default keys, or I enter it as a simple ASCII string, I get a result like the following in the log:

4:15:23 PM Initializing Network connection.
4:15:23 PM 04:15:23.569 Info Opening
4:15:23 PM 04:15:23.577 Info Client Settings: Protocol Tcp Host: localhost Port: 4059
4:15:23 PM 04:15:23.578 Info Open
4:15:24 PM 04:15:24.078 Info Closing
4:15:24 PM 04:15:24.078 Info Closed
System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
at GXDLMSDirector.GXDLMSDevice.InitializeConnection() in C:\Projects\GXDLMSDirector\Development\GXDLMSDevice.cs:line 374
at GXDLMSDirector.MainForm.Connect(Control sender, Object[] parameters) in C:\Projects\GXDLMSDirector\Development\MainForm.cs:line 929

So, DLMSDirector connects to my meter, but immediately disconnects without sending anything to the meter.

Manufacturer Settings dialogue box

Hi,

I added issue from HighGMAC enebled button.

GMAC settings are associated with the manufacturer because there is not a user settings on GXDLMSDirector. We'll check this GMAC settings if we can find better solution.
