Can anyone suggest me a solution in dlms python, where I should still try to restart my access to the meter when there is a power failure.
ie, when a power failure occurres, the code should keep reinitiating a connection and once a connection is established, continue to read the data. While I have a minor modification for keep polling for the data, was not successful in reinitiating the connection automatically

If there is a power break on the meter you need to establish the connection again. The existing connection is lost on power break and you need to re-establish it.

Could you please help me with a sample code, I tried a couple of things but its not handling the power failure. When the connection is lost, it should re establish as per your recommendation, but i couldn't figure how to get that programmatically

If the connection is lost you need to wait a couple of minutes for an inactivity timeout. Then you call initializeConnection and start to read data again.
