Hello,

We noticed that the control byte keeps changing for every command. We read the GReen book but it was not very clear about how the control byte is calculated.

Can someone explain how to calculate the control byte for various instantaneous parameters like Voltage, Current, Power Factor, Active and Reactive Power etc.?

Thanks

Hi ambimat,

Hi ambimat,

Control byte is for HDLC framing and it depends from previous frames, etc...
I strongly suggest that you use our open source libraries or buy a commercial version.
It'll save a lot of work for you.
