Is Authentication and encryption necessary in 32 meter reader association while using dedicated ciphering it's a bit confusing since in Indian standards it is mentioned 32 only supports encryption and in green book they mentioned to use authenticated encryption while using dedicated ciphering

Hi,

Most Indian meters that I know use authentication encryption with MR (association 32).
