Hello.

Is there a timeout setting for closing a communication session with a device in AMI? It is necessary that after reading the data the communication session is not closed, or that it is possible to forcibly open a communication session without reading data from the device.

Hi,

AMI will check if there are new tasks after the read for the meter. If there are not, the connection is closed.

There is an inactivity timeout on the DLMS meters and if a client is not reading anything from the meter in that time, the server closes the connection.

It's not possible to forcibly open the connection if AMI is not reading anything.
