Before you can read your device you need to add an agent that makes the actual reading.
A new agent is added by selecting "Add" from the Agents tab. First, you need to download an agent for your computer and unzip it. Because all communication is encrypted you need to generate an access token for the agent. It's done by selecting "Generate access token". Save this token, because it's not saved anywhere. It's needed when you configure a new agent.
The access token allows an agent to connect for Gurux.DLMS.AMI without the need for a password. The agent can't access Gurux.DLMS.AMI server if the access token or agent is removed.
After you have unzip the downloaded agent you can run it:
dotnet Gurux.DLMS.AMI.Agent.dll
First, you need to give the Gurux,DLMS.AMI address. If you are running docker on your local computer you can just press enter.
Welcome to use Gurux.DLMS.AMI.
Gurux.DLMS.AMI address: [https://localhost:8001]
Then you need to give the name of your agent. The default name is the name of the computer where the agent is run. You can give any name as you want to, but it's recommendable that each agent has own, unique name.
Enter agent name: [NAME OF YOUR COMPUTER]
Next, you need to give the access token that you can generate when you add a new Agent.
Enter Access Token:
The agent is now started and it's ready to wait for actions from the Gurux.DLMS.AMI.
