Establishing Connection with Meter over TCP/IP

Forums
Gurux DLMS for Java

Hi everyone,

My team are new to smart meters, and we have been tasked with reading data from Elstra AS230, and Iskra ME372 smart meters. The library looks like it might be able to do the job - however the documentation is fairly spartan! My main question is, how would you connect over TCP/IP? I have the IP address and ports of the meters, and I have manually sent and received some data using java sockets, but this library looks like it has done most of the legwork.

Kind Regards,
Rick

Cannot connect to TI module in HLS(2)

Forums
Gurux DLMS for Java

Hello everyone,
I just started approaching the world of DLMS/COSEM, in particular the development of a DLMS server. I'm currently using the MSP430 micro from Texas Instruments and both the GuruX Director and java libraries as client.

I have no problems connecting the device using none or low security. Since the Director doesn't have support for High authentication natively (it can be set creating a new manufacturer, but that's not the issue) I started using the client example that comes within the libraries.

GXServerExample

Forums
Gurux DLMS for Java

Hey,

What's generating the events "Client read from x" on the example server.

BR,
John

Edit: The object generating the events it the GXDLMSProfileGeneric.

e.g.: Client Read value from 0.0.1.0.0.255 attribute: 2.
Client Read value from 1.1.21.25.0.255 attribute: 2.
Client Read value from 0.0.1.0.0.255 attribute: 2.

But there's no client. When the profile generic reads it says the client read.

BR,
John

Import into Eclipse

Forums
Gurux DLMS for Java

Good afternoon,
I'm having trouble importing the project https://github.com/gurux/gurux.dlms.java in Eclipse. I tried to import straight from Github for my machine and then
I tried to run the main (GuruxSerialExampleJava.java) and appeared several errors:
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: MediaStateEventArgs
at java.lang.Class.getDeclaredMethods0 (Native Method)
at java.lang.Class.privateGetDeclaredMethods (Unknown Source)
