Different String formats

Forums
Gurux DLMS for Java

Hi,
I'm trying to read some objects, but sometimes I get wrong/different String. Reading methods are described lower.

This is console output when I read just specific attribute.
-------- Reading GXDLMSData 0.0.42.0.0.255 Ch. 0 COSEM Logical device name
Index: 1 Value: 00 00 2A 00 00 FF

This output I get, when I read whole object.
-------- Reading GXDLMSData 0.0.42.0.0.255 Ch. 0 COSEM Logical device name
Index: 1 Value: 0.0.42.0.0.255
Index: 2 Value: 47 75 72 75 78 31 32 33 34 35 36

GXDLMSRegister setValue method

Forums
Gurux DLMS for Java

Hi
In the below method of gurux.dlms.objects.GXDLMSRegister, you have used "if (scaler != 1 && e.getValue() != null) " case. I want to know, isn't it wrong. Because if scaler is 1 then it should multiply value with 10. But here it skips. Because of it, value is incorrect.

eg. if value=268 and scaler is 1 (received from meter)
then final value should be 2680. But it is giving same 268.

public void setValue(final GXDLMSSettings settings,
final ValueEventArgs e) {
// CHECKSTYLE:ON

Read tamper Records from DLMS meters

Forums
Gurux DLMS for Java

Hello Mikko,

I am able to read tamper event codes from OBIS = 0.0.96.11.e.255 IC = 1, values of e range from 0 to 6). I want to read the detailed event history (logs) for tampered events i.e - tamper logs using (OBIS = 0.0.99.98.e.255 IC = 7, values of e range from 0 to 6). But I am unable to receive the proper response. I am referring IS 15959-2011. Please help me in parsing tamper records along with logs.

Thanks & Regards,
Sarbjit Singh

Setting time using the ValueEventArgs.

Forums
Gurux DLMS for Java

Dear,
We want to parse the LP entries received as push messages. We are using the XMLTranslator to translate the received message into XML and converting it into GXDLM objects.
When we try to set the time using the ValueEventArgs only the time is set and the deviation is ignored.
We don't know if this is a bug or limitation. As per blue book if we set the time the meter has to populate other values based on the time, does this also apply while reading the time.

Certificates support

Forums
Gurux DLMS for Java

Hi all

I wanted to know if it is possible to configure a Dlms Simulator that could work with these functionalities:

- HLS 7 authentication mechanism
- Communication using Static-Unified model
- Communication using One-pass Diffie-Hellman
- APDU ciphering and signature

All using Security Suite 1 ECDH-ECDSA-AES-GCM-128-SHA-256.

Basically the question is if all of this is already implemented in the Gurux.DLMS library and it is feasible make all those functionalities work in a DLMS simulator.

Thanks!

HDLC, Creating server

Forums
Gurux DLMS for Java

Hi,
I have question about HDLC. You can choose framing as wrapper or HDLC. And there is HDLC as type of communication profile. Is it 2 different things or it's something similar?

I'm supposed to make an server app, which will be using HDLC instead of TCP/IP. So what I need to use? I guess not gurux.net, but gurux.serial?

Thanks
