I am new to DLMS meter reading subject.

I wrote a java program to read the socket and able to read the meter data which pushed in regular intervals in plain text.

However, the other meter data are designed to be fetched from meter after hand shaking with modem as below: And i am able to get the reply from modem as "PMOK". After that I have to send command to meter (modem is made transparent) . Here I struck. I initiated a client java passing the modem ip and port and not getting result.

I have meters which are connected through Modem (GSM SIM with static IP) that connect to Centralized HES system. Around 2000 meters are available and may grow in size

Guide me the architecture suitable i.e., AMI as server / Java Server

How many instances have to be run to cater 2000 modems.

At present each modem vendors having their own handshaking and architecture and want to
streamline and use the open source software using Gurux.

I am familiar with java and PHP programming but not in dotnet.

I need to do a GET reading on a meter.
I have the obis, it claims class 7, and I need to read attribute 2:
I am reading attribute 3 first and then I read attribute 2 using class GXDLMSProfileGeneric

To make the reading I need to send in the GET command one of the parameters below, to select what I want to read:
- 02 02 04 06 00 00 01 53 06 00 00 02 2d 12 00 00 12 00 00
- 02 02 04 06 00 00 01 52 06 00 00 02 2d 12 00 00 12 00 00

How would I add these parameters to the command, using gurux?

I am trying to run the DLMS Simulator Java version on my desktop but it is giving me the following output after which it is getting terminated.

Authentication: None
ClientAddress: 0x10
ServerAddress: 0x1
Connection refused: connect

Can you help me with this? Looking forward to a quick response.

Hi.
I have seen that while reading invocation count, adding the GENERAL_PROTECTION as below.

dlms.getProposedConformance().add(Conformance.GENERAL_PROTECTION);

Due to this I was not able to read one meter manufactuer data(Getting invalid command) and to fix that I removed it in final block of invocation read.

finally {
........................
........................
dlms.getProposedConformance().remove(Conformance.GENERAL_PROTECTION);
}

Hi,

I wanted to run the simulator as give in the following link:
http://www.gurux.fi/Gurux.DLMS.Simulator

In the above link, after the preparation for Java, in the usage section, it uses an application named Gurux.DLMS.Simulator.Net.exe, for running multiple number of meters. Can you please tell me where I can find this application as I am unable to do so.

I am new to DLMS and here I have to decrypt the frame which is coming from UDP channel(incoming message), I have decrypted the cipher text to hex with DLMS translator and the same I did using GXDLMSTranslator API. here the issue is the hex which is in response was commented. I have no idea why this is in commented section. is it the right API I am using to decrypt the frame which is coming from the device? or is there any other API which I can use which gives security accessors and decrypt the chipher text to hex. please guide me how to progress in this.

Ive been trying to re create the code Under the README for the gurux.dlms.client.example.java/
but I can't get the code compiled. I've never used Github before either so maybe 'm looking in the wrong place or overlooking a download for the source files.

I'm just trying to establish a connection to my meter and then read data from it. I've already connected to the meter using GXDLMSDirector but I want to get that data automatically every half hour. Any suggestions or can you possibly point me in the right direction please.
