Hello Sir,

I am communicating Landis-Gyr E550 with DLMSDirector. The problem is breaks in connectivity. When first connects, I can read data again and again, but as I disconnect I am unable to connect again. Then I exit DLMSDirector, open new file, add device and then after few attempts it connects. In simpler words, sometimes it connects and sometimes not.
Please guide me where I am making mistake. Thanks in advance.

Hi Jack,

There is a delay between connections in E550. You must wait (if I remember right) about 20 seconds before new connection. After that you can connect again. This same happens with Map120.

Hello Mikko,

Thank you for kind help.

I have following Elster energy meter, want to cummunicate with it over
DLMS via your software. I am confused for this meter has built-in DLMS
compatibilty or I need to use communication module for DLMS protocol.
I read relevant literature but couldn't get clear idea. Please help
this is urgent.

Hi Jack

Please, create new topic if you have more questions.
Download GXDLMSDirector and try to communicate with your meter selecting Elster as manufacturer.
If that fails, verify from meter vendor that your version is supporting DLMS.
