We have 2 meters connected through daisy chaining on RS485.
When we are using GXDLMSDirector with Physical Server Address 1, Both meters are working fine independently and we are able to fetch some data.
Our meter company has given the physical address as 255, 256 for 2 meters. When we entered 255 as physical address, GXDLMSDirector is not able to connect the meter.
Please suggest, how can we can connect meter through GXDLMS client by giving the physical address.
We need to connect through meter address so that only the marked meter respond the read command in case of daisy chaining.
Is it possible to get the address of individual meter if we connect using server address 1, so that we can verify the exact address of meter at run time.
You did not tell the manufacturer, so I have to give few hints.
Several meters are using serial number as a address on daisy chaining.
Can you connect with server address 256?
Can you try to change server address example 10 and then try to connect?
I know that there are some meters that can handle only one byte size server addresses.

Hi,
Can you change meter's physical address from 255 to 10 (or other smaller value)?
Then try again.
