DLMSDirector

Hello when I connect on Itron SL7000 I use seral 7N1 300 Baud DLMS , the first time using my parametetri but any subsequent connection starts a new connection at 9600 baud
8N1.Questo forces me every time that the connection runs in manually reset 300 7N1 . This counter works in IEC only 300 7N1 .
I wanted to suggest that it would be a good idea for SL 7000 or perhaps hammer for all counter starting in IEC and then pass in DLMS not change the connection parameters set in the profile .
I believe that the conditions to manage might be .
Do not change the connection properties User :
1 ) If the connection is down
2 ) If the Start parameter is set to IEC Prococol

I do not know what I think but I think that might make things easier to many users who may not have noticed this behavior .

Good work and thanks

Little tip for Itron SL7000

Hi,

Earlier we was doing like this. There are lots of meters where initialized connection settings are changed.
Example default baud rate is changed to 9600.

For this reason we do not forse initial settings anymore. In GXDLMSDirector device settings are allways updated before connection is done. You should to the same. Save settings and read them there before
connection is established.

Hello I understand you but

Hello I understand you but imagine if I 'm reading a code OBIS every time he goes wrong I have to reload the profile and return to the next code OBIS .A my opinion manage different parameters between IEC and DLMS is a good idea does not cost anything and more flexibility and usability to the Director .
I believe it can also reduce the tack of the reporting population for errors you receive.

Thank you for your attention and if you want to implement it I will gladly test it on my SL7000

good job

Little tip for Itron SL7000

Hi,

We have think of this. What if we set Maximum baudrate property on Device settings.
If Maximum baudrate is set, we will use that value, even meter can support higger.

Is this workable solution for you?

Mikko
