I am trying to implement a automatic meter reader using arduino on an ESP32. I need to understand how the client sketch here https://github.com/Gurux/GuruxDLMS.c/tree/master/Arduino_IDE can be used.
1. Is the Serial declared with baud 9600 expected to be connected to an optical device or is it the host system running Arduino IDE?
2. How are the read values stored?
3. Can you provide a link to some documentation on this?

2. Values are not stored anywhere. Values are only read from the meter. It depends on you where you want to save them.

I am trying to do the same, but with Arduino Mega 2560. But, I don't get how to use library with client.ino code. I added "src" and "inlcude" folder in Arduino LIbrary folder. But I was getting compilation error(unable to find library files). Then I added both the folder "src" and "inlcude" in the folder of the sketch then also I got error(During linking).
So, could you please share some steps to configure library files and how to test this codes.
