How can i set up EMH meter by EMH Metering GmbH? It always say that "failed to get reply from the device"..i am using com port...what should i do?

Hi,

Have you selected EMH Metering GmbH as a manufacturer? It might be that the baud rate is wrong.
Try to change that. Check also your cable.

I have selected EMH Metering GmbH as manufacturer. Do cable failures may be the cause of unable to communicate?

For your information, i am using EMH NXT4 meter by EMH metering GmbH

Hi,

In 80% cable failure is the reason why communication is not working. If you are using USB converter,
don't use any other converter between a PC and the meter. It's quite common that there is a USB2RS232 converter and then RS232 is connected to the optical head. The power level is often too low for optical head in cases like this and it doesn't work.
