Hello, I'm trying to read data from meter ITRON SL7000 Type SL761B071 using RS232 connection and DLSM Protocol.
I'm able to get only two datas using GXDirector, under the label "DATA" of my Device, I'm able to read only 0.0.42.0.0.255 COSEM Logical Device Name, and under the label "Association Logical Name" of my Device, I'm able to read only 0.0.40.0.16.255 Ch.0 Association #16.
What am I doing wrong? Should I view more informations under the label "DATA"?
The device is connected (I think), althogh I would not be able to get any information...

Thank you for your replay

Hi,

You are reading your meter with authentication level None.
Change authentication level to Low. Default password is ABCDEFGH.

Another problem...

Hello Mikko,
I tried to read my meter using the authentication password, but I get another error...
I think password is correct, because if I put in a wrong password I get an authentication error.
I get a pop up message saying "Access Error: Device reports scope of access violated."
Sorry but I dont really know what this message means...

Thank you for your reply

Hi,

This meter is older meter and Actaris has not implement all functionality.
This error simple means that this is not implemented. :-)
There are some other strange things as well. :-(

Id this happens with our products (GXDLMSDirector, Gurux.DeviceSuite), let me know.

Hi, I get this problems using

Hi,
I get this problems using GXDLMSDirector.
Probably there are different obis codes? For example when I read variables manually (using the meter buttons) I can read 1.1.2.8.0 obis code on the meter's display and this is not in the list of actaris obis codes (I found 1.1.2.8.0.255 but I think it's different).
Should I try to create new manufacturer settings and then add my obis code?
Or is there any other way to read the meters?

Thank you

Reading data from SL7000

Hi,

Sorry I miss your post.

There are two different versions from this meter.
Your one is supporting DLMS.

Your settings seems to be right, so you should be able to read your meter with default settings.

SL 7000

Hi,

You can read SL 7000 using GXDLMSDirector.

With profile generics (historical data) there are some
issues because data is not DLMS compatible.

Problem communicating with Itron SL7000

Hi
I am trying to communicate with an Itron SL7000 meter but I am struggling to get any data out of the RS232 serial port. I have looked at both RJ45 connectors TX=pin5 and GND=pin6.

The pin reference were taken from the "Installation Guide SL7000 RT" Page 29: http://www.integra.co.it/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/SL7000-RT-Installat…
Is there anything that has to happen before the meter starts spewing out data?
I currently using an Oscilloscope to see if there is any data on serial port before validating the contents of the data.
Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks
