Unable to Build Android app using latest downloaded code

Hi,
I have downloaded latest android application code from

https://github.com/gurux/gurux.dlms.android?tab=readme-ov-file

above link and extract that zip file
There are 2 folder
Java and Xamarin in Gurux.DLMS.Android-master folder

i open android studio and select java folder
after that gradle sync start
at the end i am getting below error

The project is using an incompatible version (AGP 8.7.2) of the Android Gradle plugin. Latest supported version is AGP 8.3.1
