Hi,
I try to read a meter MT880 with Arduino example code ,
but the sample program not working.
I think the issue is on init :
Assuming the default password is password
Client.init(true, 1, 172, DLMS_AUTHENTICATION_LOW, "password", DLMS_INTERFACE_TYPE_HDLC);
Using the Director to test, it works correctly by this entry :
COM3:9600:8None1 -c 1 -s 172 -a Low -P password
Is correct to use the 172 also in Arduino code ?
Best regards,
and thanks for any useful hint.
Hi, Your settings look…
Hi,
Your settings look correct. If you can read your meter with a client example using those arguments, you can read your meter with Arduino if your serial port settings are correct. If you can't read the meter with Arduino can you add a hex trace here so I can compare the bytes?

Mikko

Another question: is there a way to indicate -d Italy to indicate Italy standard
in client.ino code in Client.init ( .. ..... ) ?
Hi, It looks like you have…
Hi,
It looks like you have commented on AARQ and AARE messages. Your client is only sending SNRM and received UA messages, but don't send anything else. Check the reason for this.
-d Italy is used to show correct descriptions for the OBIS codes, but Arduino doesn't use that information for anything.
