Not sure if you are aware but Clou meters have two Wrapper commands they implement that the Gurux parsePdu decoder for InterfaceType.WRAPPER currently doesn't support.
These are `LOGIN` and `HEARTBEAT`, will support be added for these?
I understand how it may break things, what I would recommend then is if one could make it optional to enable such a mode, that or allowing some sort of filter/handler to be able to be placed in for certain commands or so. Something easily pluggable, but something is required as this meters REQUIRE this. One could specify also, the DLMS spec version such that I can use the specification these meters use and enable a flag for Clou wrapper command (HEARTBEAT AND LOGIN) command support - that would make sense seeing as these meter's by Clou as it stands will not receive a new DLMS spec in their firmware. That is a sane way to go about it I think - for an ever evolving standard.
I mean I could try, I have contact with their engineers so I could ask them.
You are correct in that there is no documentation available for it, if I can get something liek that would that help you?
Also, the way we reverse engineered it was by running their MeterView software in server mode and watching the debug logs as the clou meter connected - you could try that - do you have a Clou meter available?
UPDATE: I have emailed them the list of commands GuruX doesn't support.
In the meantime all they sent me was the attached photo but it doesn't say much about the CLOU commands, just the WRAPPER format in general

Hi,
LOGIN and HEARTBEAT are not in the DLMS standard. I need to think about this. Can you add those PDUs as a hex so I can check them?
The main problem is that if a new PDU is added to the standard that is using those message IDs it will break everything.

Mikko

Here is the code, encode/decode which should help a lot: https://paste.debian.net/hidden/7686d475/

Hi,
I have thought the `LOGIN` and `HEARTBEAT` support. Support for those PDUs is not possible to add because there is no documentation from them.
Can you ask Clou to add them to DLMS standard if they are needed with their meters?

Mikko

Hi,
It is always good if the meter manufacturer answers your questions. I know several manufacturers with poor support, even if you have a lots of meters.
This document from the WRAPPER doesn't help. I hope that they will add this PDU to DLMS standard.

Hi,
Send the pdf to me. I'll think if this is doable after I have the documents.
