Hello,
Can you please provide example how to read data via plc protocol with .NET library? I guess i need to initialize GXPlcSettings with correct parameters. I know that plc configured with key 1441 in the meters and the modem is IT900.

Hi Denis,

Hi Denis,

First, you need to know what PLC version your meter is using.
There are two different versions of PLC in the DLMS standard. :-)

PLC Logical link control (LLC) profile is used with IEC 61334-4-32 connectionless LLC sublayer.
Blue Book: 10.4.4.3.3 The connectionless LLC sublayer.

In GXDLMSDirector select Gurux as a manufacturer and then select "Plc" or "PlcHdlc". Then select "Frame" tab and set correct settings.

BR,
Mikko

I set up a local plc

I set up a local plc connection between two metering devices using a configurator from the manufacturer. I also read the settings of the plc module via the plc channel and saved the interaction log. Could you tell me from this log which settings I should use in GXDLMSDirector? I have never worked with PLC before.

Although if I understood

Although if I understood correctly, the settings are of the structure type. So that the manufacturer could write some of its own specific parameters there?

Hi,

Hi,

Your meter is using HDLC framing. Set parameters:
Interface: HDLC
Authentication level: Low
Client address: 0x30
Logical address:1, Physical address:0x81
Password: "00000000"

Mikko

It worked, so i need just to change physical address of the meters. If I understood correctly meter will use plc under the hood. Thanks!

Hi,

Hi,

I believe that your modem will convert HDLC frames to PLC frames.

Mikko
