General discussion

Hi all,

I am trying to read a Landis dlms meter via a Desimal modem with transparent mode.

Number 1:

The meter has a low password security and I can succesfully connect but all I can read those obises below:

0.0.41.0.0.255, 1.0.0.2.8.255, 0.0.43.1.3.255, 0.0.43.1.2.255, 0.0.43.1.0.255, 0.0.43.1.1.255, 0.0.96.1.0.255, 0.0.0.2.0.255, 1.0.0.2.0.255, 0.0.42.0.0.255, 0.0.40.0.1.255, 0.0.43.0.0.255, 0.0.40.0.2.255, 0.0.43.0.0.255, 0.0.40.0.0.255, 0.0.43.0.0.255,

Other obises like 1.0.1.8.0.255 throws read-write access denied exception.

Why would it happen? Should I configure the meter? Or it happens in case there is no data on the obises?

Anyone has any idea?

Number 2:

I need to send a byte array for modem to switch to the transparent mode, is below code fine?

_dlmsSettings.Media.Send(byteArray,null)

Hi,

Hi,

Read the meter with GXDLMSDirector using Low password. Can you see 1.0.1.8.0.255? If you can't you need to connect with a high authentication level to access other objects.

Hi Mikko,

Hi Mikko,

I can read via Map101 with [G] Management Access. It says it is "low level authentication with password".

Do you think I should change something else on the gurux side? (I have the correct password)

I cannot connect with GXDlmsDirector although I can with .NET console app.

Changing client address to 1

Changing client address to 1 solved my issue.

Hi Aaron,

Hi Aaron,

Thank you for this list. Access levels are added to the Landis+Gyr authentication levels so it's easier to use in the future.

BR,
Mikko
