General discussion

Hello,
Normally, the HDLC address of a Landis+Gyr meter is calculated like this :
(SerialNumber%10000) + 1000
I have seen that the address used by Guruxdirector is 0x4000 too much.
For example: if the Serial Number of the meter is 1, normally the address should be 3E9; but Gurux used the 43E9 address; so, it doesn't work.

The formula is correct in the file lgz.obx, may be there is something wrong in the gurux director software.

Could you help please.

Best regards

Hi Marc,

Hi Marc,

Counting the server address from serial number is not defined in DLMS standard and different manufacturers are counting it differently.
This is not improved. Before the logical server address was set to 1. It's now read from the Logical Server address. So if you update the GXDLMSDirector and set the logical server address to zero and serial number to one in the device settings dialog you get the result that you want to.

Hello Mikko,

Hello Mikko,

Thank you for your reply. How can I update my version of GWDLMSDirector? When I click on "Check for update", It replies to me "No update available"

Best regards

Marc

Hello Marc,

Hello Marc,

Select "Help" and "About...". If your version is 8.2.2105.1801 then you have the latest version.
If you have some older version the easiest is is you install the latest version from here:

Hi Mikko!

Hi Mikko!

Hope it's ok that I am using this thread, as I think my problem could be the same as Marc's.
We have an LG E850 meter on RS485, and today I updated the DLMS Director, and can no longer contact it. I still have an older version of DLMS Director, and with that version, I can still contact the meter.
I have saved all my meter connections to the file "Meters.gxc", and is using "Meters.gxc" in both versions of DLMS Director.

I am attaching a picture of my connection parameters to this meter. This works in my old Director, but not in the new. Any Idea what I need to do?

Hi Karl,

Hi Karl,

Please, create a new topic the next time. It's easier to answer the right question.

Try to change the Logical server from zero to 1.

Mikko

Thanks Mikko!

Thanks Mikko!
That was the solution. I will create a new topic the next time. Just thought it was the same problem, so thought it was better to use the same topic, than create a new one :)
