Gurux DLMS for Java

Hi all,

I'm relatively new to DLMS and associated development. I'm trying to build a Tridium Niagara driver for DLMS.
I was able to run the server from https://github.com/Gurux/gurux.dlms.java/tree/master/gurux.dlms.server… , and am using the code from https://github.com/Gurux/gurux.dlms.java/tree/master/gurux.dlms.client… to read data.

I am able to read the values and attributes from the server but am unable to figure out how to get the description of the attribute (in java client). Each attribute in the DLMS Director (Download Gurux DLMS Director for .Net 4.6.) has a description. For example, the point Ip4Setup has 10 attributes with descriptions like 'Logical Name', 'Subnet Mask', 'Use DHCP', etc (PFA Sceenshot).

How do I access this description/name in the java client for each attribute specifically in the getReadOut() method in https://github.com/Gurux/gurux.dlms.java/blob/master/gurux.dlms.client… (Line number 814)?

Thanks in advance!!

Regards,
Mithun

Hi,

Hi,

Attributes names are defined in DLMS standard. You can get the list of COSEM objects from here:
https://www.gurux.fi/Gurux.DLMS.Objects

Description of the attributes is implemented only for C# at the moment.

Mikko

Hi Mikko,

Hi Mikko,

Thank you for the link!
Any ETA on when the feature would be implemented for Java.

Thanks and Regards,
Mithun

Hi,

Hi,

No one of our clients haven't asked for it, so it's not on the worklist at the moment. We can add it at some phase, but I don't know when.

BR,
Mikko
