Hi,
I was just wondering, how meters with SN are storing passwords and client/server addresses.

When using LN, association LN object hast multiple attributes, which can contain secret, client address and mechanism_id. So you can specify which association you want with these parameters.

Green book says, that e.g. with LLS the pasword is held by Association SN/LN object, but for SN, there is no attribute for holding this information.

So what meters with SN usually use for storing secret, client id and mechanism id?

Hi,

Hi,

In my mind, SN is obsolete, and almost all new meters are using LN. If you want to make SN meter, you need to save those parameters and update them when needed.
