Hi,

I have actually Linux based IOT device like raspberry pi. I wanted to communicate with DLMS meters and me as a client, Instead of using my device, I have taken the PC where I am running Server and Client using Loopback interface since yet to buy the real meters. I am able to compile both server and client and able to run in PC, opening port and making connection everything is fine. But I am not getting detailed response like short name and long name. Do we need to make any settings for that,
I found the below. but there is no definition for ln_init() and how can we initialize parameters. Please help us on this that how can we initiate.

Before use you must set following device parameters. Parameters are manufacturer spesific.

All default parameters are given in constructor.
// Is used Logican Name or Short Name referencing.
dlmsSettings settings;
//Initialize settings using Logican Name referencing and HDLC.
ln_init(&settings);
//Initialize settings using Short Name referencing and HDLC.

Hi,

Those values depend on the meter, manufacturer and authentication level.
When you start the example server you can see that it creates four servers. Connection settings are print to the command line. Use those settings.

How to communicate between dlms server and dlms client using socket ??
Means without using any connection
