Hi,

If you store the invocation counter in your application every time you read the meter and you loose communication, time out or something else then how do you start communication the next time you read the meter? Do you have to read in public mode and get the invocation counter stored in the meter register then terminate call and restart in HLS ? Is there a way to access the meter in public mode AARQ read the invocation counter then get out of public without disconnecting and then AARQ in HLS and use the invocation counter that was obtained in public to continue to read? Is there a better way then disconnecting from meter.....or maybe not?

Thanks,

Fred

Hi Fred,

Hi Fred,

Yes, that is the only option. If you don't have correct Invocation Counter you need to connect using public mode and read it. Then you disconnect and make a new connection. Some meters can handle only one connection at the time, for this reason, it's good to close the connection before starting the new one. This, of course, depends from the meter.

BR,

Mikko
