Hey ! I would be grateful if anyone could help !

I’am working on a project, the main target is communicating with 5 energy meters alpha a1800. on ethernet TCP/IP using the serial ethernet converter ( EDW-100).
There are two scenarios for this :
*i can use the converter as a modbus gateway and read values via metercat (modbus tcp/ip).
*i can use GXDLMSDirector to read meters data via ethernet
i would like to contact someone who has worked on elster a1800 communication.

what is the right device configuration to applie to converter and to the meter in order to communicate with metercat ?
and how i can install GXDLMSDirector correctly (i cant install new manufacturer settings online) and the settings to applie while creating a new device ?

Hi,

You can read Elster A1800 meters with GXDLMSDirecor. Just select Elster as a manufacturer. We have not used EDW-100, so I don't know if there is something special.

Why you can't install GXDLMSDirector? Don't you have internet access or what is the problem?

Hi,

I'm sure that this error is not coming from GXDLMSDirecor. :-)
I believe that the problem is that your TCP/IP or serial port connection is not working.
