Getting started

Read basic information from Gurux.DLMS component before you start to create DLMS client.

Push messages

Push messages are configured using GXDLMSPushSetup class. You can use Push messages to send selected content (PushObjectList) from the meter to given address (Destination). Using ServiceType you can select what kind of transport channel you want to use (example TCP/IP protocol). You can trigger push message with Activate-method or schedule time when push messages are sent. Example every hour.

There is one problem with push messages. Push message don't describe content of push message. It just sends data values. Problem is same than Comma-separated values. You get a list of values, but you don't know what those values are. If all meters are conquered same way this is not a problem, but if there are several configures this is causing problems. One solution is set PushObjectList as first in PushObjectList. In this way every push message is configured and there is an idea from the content of data.

Other problem is scaler and unit of register classes. You must send them also. All this will increase size of sent push message. For this reason I strongly recommend that all push messages are configured in same way.
