If you try to develop your own software using Gurux DLMS/COSEM component and you are receiving the following error:
Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {EA188609-1AC4-4125-9F0D-AF6538747D96} failed due to the following error: 80040154.
Reason for this is that you are using 64 bit version of Windows and you have installed 32 bit version of the component.
There are two things that you can do to fix this.
1. Install 64 bit version of the Gurux DLMS/COSEM.
2. Set platform to x86 in your compiler.
Setting platform in Visual Studio is done like this.
In Toolbar change Platform From "Any CPU" to x86.
If There is only "Any CPU" item add support for the x86.
Select Build | "Configuration Manager" in the top menu.
Select Platform and New...
In the New platform, select x86.
Press OK-button and select x86 in the Toolbar.
