Gurux MQTT media is sending DLMS/COSEM messages using the selected interface type. If you select WRAPPER, the messages are sent using the WRAPPER and if HDLC, then the messages are send using HDLC.
The reason why MQTT was implemented is that we have clients whose meters are in the private network. Using MQTT we can access those meters without having access to that network.

I meant to ask that are dlms cosem payloads embedded within mqtt frames while transporting it via rf. Or some other mechanism is used
