ihave problem to read data from elster as 3500 smart meter using Gurux DLMS/COSEM protocol any idea to help me plz
iam using TCP PROTCOL
and OBIS
the programming language is java
any steps or /test tool available

Hi,

Try first with GXDLMSDirector. Select Elster as a manufaturer and try to read your meter. Let me know if you have problems.

what client address and physical address mean in GXDLMSDirector .
where ican but my smart meter ip address in GXDLMSDirector tester tool .

Hi,

Client address and physical address are something that might change between meters.
You can try with default values. Select "Net" as media type and set IP address to "HostName" textbox.

Hi, We have installed AS3500 meter in our facilities recently, i just confused how to measure the total consumption manually. initial Reading was 00000015 kWh taken on 29th April-2018 and closing reading taken on 31st May 2018 which is 00000450 kWh. Total consumption of May month is only 435kWh for the entire facilities which is very less consumption than it supposed to be. Can you pls advice on what could be the reason for showing less consumption.

Hi,

Are you reading this using DLMS or is meter showing this? If you are using DLMS, you need to read scaler (attribute index 3) as well.

Hi, The reading showing on Meter display, I'm not using any DLMS. if i calculate consumption with the connected load / Current Amps the consumption would be 450kWh / Hour but as per the meter readings the consumption 435 kWh only for entire Month. Which is very very less consumption than it supposed to be.

Hi,

Check that all wires are connected.
If that doesn't help, try to contact meter vendor and ask this from them.
