Hello,

i need to read obis codes from an iskra mt860 but i can't connect to it because the gurux software doesn't receive reply from iskra. I'm trying to connect to iskra through serial communication RS485 on two wires, using a simple serial communication software if i send only one command: "/?!" or "/?serial_number!" i don't get reply but if i send two commands in sequence i get reply from the iskra, someone know what is the problem?

If i send one command:

/?! --> No reply

If i send two commands in sequence:

/?!
/?! --> I get reply

Next week i will go back to the company where iskra is installed and i will have one week to make it working...

Thank you in advance for help, and i wish to everyone a happy new year!

ISKRA MT860

Hi,

You can't read ISKRA MT860 With GXDLMSDirector. MT860 is using IEC 62056 - 21, not DLMS.

ISKRA MT860

I thought that if i set Start protocol to IEC, software uses IEC protocol to communicate with devices...
Gurux framework uses also IEC protocol to communicate with devices? Or it's not implemented?

Best regards,
Denis.

ISKRA MT860

Hi,

There are ASCII and binary mode in IEC. DLMS is using that binary mode. We are not support that ASCII mode because there are so many variations between meters.

ISKRA MT860

Hi Denis,

Can you see DLMS label on the cover of the meter? If you look link below from Iskra web page there is nothing from DLMS.
