Hi Gurux,
I'm trying to implement github java libraries in my android project. I have modified maven dependencies for gradle file in android (ex. compile 'org.gurux:gurux.dlms:1.0.10'). The recognition of java libraries looks good but when i try to run the app i have problems with gradle file. Is it possible to convert maven into gradel for android? if not is there any support by Gurux for android?
Thank you.

Gurux support for android

Hi,

I test this with Android Studio. I add this to build.crandle:
compile 'org.gurux:gurux.dlms:1.1.4'

Then I made small test example and it works. What kind of problems you have?

In reply to Gurux support for android by Kurumi

Hi Kurumi,

Thank you for the answer. The problem in my gradle was caused by gurux.terminal.java library. I removed for the moment this library from gradle and it works fine. Now I am trying to implement the READ.me example of github but there are a lot of libraries and packages that are not supported by android like javax.swing, java.awt etc. Can you help me in this issue?
Thank you for your time.

Gurux support for android

Hi,

I underestand your problem. DLMS part is not need swing, etc packages. Media components are using them to show media properties on UI.

If you get source codes from media that you need and remove GXSettings.java class.
We'll try to find a workaround for this.

integration with android os

Dear Sir,

We are trying to read DLMS compliant Meter using Optical Probe. The said meter can be read using Gurux DLMS Director using the Optical Probe and PC. Now we are interested in reading this DLMS Meter from an Android Handset using OTG Cable connected to a Serial Optical Probe. We are trying to integrate your Java Library but we are getting an exception in GXSerial.Java. It seems currently the code only supports Windows and Linux OS. Please advise as to how i can integrate it with Android.

Thanks a lot

Sarbjit

Gurux support for android

Hi,

You are right. Android is using serial port differently. There is own API for that. We do not have any client at the moment who is interested from Android, but we'll try to find time to add support for Android serial port. This will take some time.

BR,

Mikko
