NIDD on DLMS

Hello Sir,

In our current Gas Meter, we are using NB-IoT with NIDD to communicate with main server. Can we go for DLMS with non-IP based data transfer from Meter to HES and visa-versa ?
If Yes, then which protocol from the DLMS GuruX library should I proceed with for non-IP based communication?

Regards,
Girija

Hi Girija,

That depends on how the meter manufacturer has implemented the NON IP Data delivery. I can't say anything about this because I don't know what meter you are using, but this information should be in the meter documentation.

Hi, Thank you for your quick…

Hi,

Thank you for your quick response.
Since there is no Indian Standard for DLMS Gas Meters, we are making an attempt to integrate our existing Smart Gas Meter with DLMS to explore this protocol.
And you are being a great help so far!

Thank you.

Regards,
Girija

Hi Girija, DLMS doesn't care…

Hi Girija,

DLMS doesn't care what you are measuring. Gas meters work in the same way as electricity meters.

Check the example servers. I believe it will help you to get started.
