Gurux DLMS for Java

Hi

I am trying to connect to a meter that uses HDLC addressing. The manufacturer has said the system uses 2-byte HDLC addressing scheme. The physical device address given is 66 and the logical device id is given as 1. What server id I should use in order to connect to the meter?

Thanks
Yatin

Server id for HDLC addressing

Hi

I was able to connect to the meter using Gurux Director as it takes different values for physical and logical addresses. But from code I am not able to do so. Through code in response to SNRM request I am not getting any response. It looks to me I may not be able to pass correct server id through code. Can you please check it ASAP?

Thanks
Yatin

Server id for HDLC addressing

Hi,

You can use GXDLMSClient.getServerAddress-method to generate server address from physical and logical device address.
