How to authenticate dynamic IP meters with different authentication key

Hi,

I have multiple dynamic IP meters of different manufacturer.

That are using different authentication key.

Issue is that which authentication key will use when a dynamic IP meter connect.

Query: Is there any option to get the meter serial number before authenticate the connection of dynamic IP meter.

That is the solution. You need to know the meter you are talking to. Ask your meter Logical Device Name and map that to authentication key.

Try to connect without authentication. Read your Logical Device Name:
GXDLMSData ldn = new GXDLMSData("0.0.42.0.0.255");

Close connection and make new connection with higher authentication level.
