You can use any communication channel you want to with Gurux DLMS components. They only generate and parse bytes. Usually, we are using TCP/IP, serial, and modem.
Thank You Mikko , i think there 3 communication profils : hdlc , TCP-UDP/ip and PLC as shown in attached picture .
Can you explain me more about this figure .
Yes. There are some modems that are using HDLC to operate with serial port and they use PLC to operate with the meters. Some modems only move bytes and they expect that data is in PLC.

Hi Mohamadop,
Hi Mohamadop,
Gurux DLMS libraries are using HDLC and TCP/IP (WRAPPER). PLC is not used at the moment. Do you have needs for PLC?

Mikko
Hi Mikko ,
Hi Mikko ,
Yes , we will work with PLC . We can work with hdlc or tcp/ip profile for PLC modem ?
Hi Mohamadop,
Hi Mohamadop,
It depends from the modem and meter. You need to ask this from the meter vendor.

Mikko
So as i understand , there is
So as i understand , there is a PLC modem that support HDLC OR IP profile and there is other not . That's it ?

We can add support for PLC in autumn.

Okey , Thank you Mikko
